JOB DESCRIPTION:
1. Extruder Production & Operation
Operate and monitor extruders, conditioners, and coolers to ensure optimal kibble formation.
Adjust steam pressure, feed rate, and die specifications to achieve desired kibble quality (hardness, durability, moisture).
Ensure proper mash conditioning before extrusion.
Monitor temperature and troubleshoot issues (e.g., clogging, uneven kibble size).
2. Quality Control
Conduct regular kibble quality checks (PDI – Kibble Durability Index, moisture content).
Ensure kibbles meet size, texture, and nutritional specifications.
Report deviations (e.g., excessive fines, burnt kibbles) to supervisors.
3. Equipment Maintenance
Perform daily cleaning magnets, extruder housing and lubrication of extruder components.
Conduct every shift Die and Roll adjustment, retightening all bolts using torque wrench.
Die and roller changes as per production schedule.
Every PMS remove die and clean all components.
Report mechanical issues to maintenance teams.
4. Safety & Compliance
Follow lockout-tagout (LOTO) procedures during maintenance.
Wear proper PPE (gloves, ear protection, dust masks).
5. Documentation
Record production output, downtime, and kibble quality data in Extruder Performance Report.
Log equipment adjustments and maintenance activities.
6. Additional Task
- Performs any other task given by the superior.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- At least with a High School Diploma or Graduate of a Vocational Course
- With at least 3 years of experience in operating extruder (preferably for dog food production)
- Knowledgeable in extruder maintenance
- With strong communication skills
- Honest and trustworthy
- Willing to be assigned in Bocaue, Bulacan
