Role Summary:

As the Associate Manager of Business Intelligence, you will be a key leader in driving data-driven decisions across the organization. You'll lead and mentor a team of data analysts, guiding the design, development, and deployment of critical reporting and business intelligence solutions. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and strong leadership to effectively manage projects, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure the team's success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the data analytics team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Conduct performance reviews and create career development plans to support individual growth and team success.
  • Partner with various business units to understand their reporting needs and translate them into effective business intelligence and project objectives. You'll drive project prioritization, manage the project backlog, and set clear expectations for stakeholders while communicating project status and key milestones throughout the lifecycle.
  • Champion the optimization of data processing and reporting workflows. Identify opportunities for automation to enhance the efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of dashboards and reports. Provide support for ad-hoc reporting and development activities as needed.
  • Serve as a critical liaison between the data analytics team and key partners, including the Data Warehouse and Engineering teams. Collaborate to resolve data source issues, troubleshoot queries, and manage data refresh schedules to ensure data integrity.
  • Establish and enforce standards and best practices for the entire report development and business intelligence lifecycle. Ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability across all reporting solutions.
  • Create compelling, high-level presentations and reports for executive leadership and business partners. Clearly communicate complex insights, trends, and business impacts to drive strategic decision-making.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in business intelligence, data analytics, and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, QlikView).
  • Proven ability to lead, manage, and mentor a team of data professionals.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, with experience in managing project backlogs and stakeholder expectations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering and data warehousing.
