OR / Aesthetic Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing aesthetic and cosmetic procedures. This includes pre-operative assessment, intraoperative assistance to surgeons, and post-operative monitoring to ensure patient safety, comfort, and satisfaction. The role requires strong attention to detail, clinical competence, and a patient-centered approach in a fast-paced aesthetic surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative:

  • Prepare the operating room by ensuring all equipment, instruments, and supplies are sterilized and ready for use.
  • Verify patient identity, procedure, and consent forms before surgery.
  • Assess the patient's physical and emotional readiness for the procedure.
  • Coordinate with surgeons and anesthesiologists regarding patient preparation and special requirements.

Intra-Operative:

  • Assist the surgeon during aesthetic procedures, maintaining strict aseptic technique.
  • Monitor the patient's vital signs and respond promptly to any intraoperative changes.
  • Handle surgical instruments and equipment efficiently and safely.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of all intraoperative activities, materials used, and medications administered.

Post-Operative:

  • Provide immediate post-operative care, monitoring patient recovery and comfort.
  • Educate patients on post-operative instructions, wound care, and medication compliance.
  • Document patient status and progress, and report any concerns to the attending physician.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe recovery area.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • License: Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active PRC license
  • Experience:
  • At least 1–2 years of experience as an OR Nurse (experience in Aesthetic, Cosmetic, or Ambulatory Surgery preferred)
  • Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications are an advantage

  • Attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Proficiency in documenting medical and surgical records accurately
