Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute the end-to-end buying process, including product selection, forecasting, replenishment, and inventory management.

Source and develop supplier relationships locally and internationally to ensure a competitive and diverse product mix.

Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, consumer needs, and competitor activities.

Evaluate and monitor product performance and vendor reliability to ensure optimal stock levels and profitability.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., marketing, operations, finance) to execute product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns.

Ensure accurate pricing, margin management, and promotional planning to drive category performance.

Conduct regular field visits to assess store execution, market competitiveness, and customer feedback.

Provide reports and insights to support data-driven business decisions.
Job Qualifications:
-
At least 3-5 years' experience as Buyer in the supermarket retail setting

Knowledge in retail operations and product trends
-
Experience in food, nonfood, health & beauty or general merchandise categories
-
With experience or interest in the merchandising process, including buying, forecasting and replenishment; assortment planning, pricing and promotions; inventory management.

Good negotiation and communication skills
-
Skills or experience to source new products and suppliers (local and international)

Capacity to do field works and can work independently in a lean team.

A keen interest in health & wellness.
