DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Wastewater

· Responsible to regularly check the valves of piping installed in the whole wastewater facilities before and after the duty schedule.

· In-charge to TURN-ON the breaker for engine start-up process including the switching "ON" of the control panel.

· Conduct daily monitoring of Pure Water, Recycle Process, Gas Scrubber and Wastewater parameters and chemical usage. Ensure that it is maintained on the required level of the chemical supplements.

· Monitor and ensure that the tank is on its standard level height to prevent from overflowing.

· Maintain the accuracy of pH meter and ORP reading.

· Held responsible to submit water sampling to Laboratory for the heavy metal content. Received, monitor, issue, safe-keep and conduct inventory of chemicals at the Wastewater Area.

· Coordinate to production for the water supply and drainage of waste chemical.

· Monitor, check and recover Silver (Ag) and Gold (Au) from the Recovery Process for return to supplier in witness by the Accounting Staff.

· Responsible to inform the assigned Facility/ Electroplating Maintenance for any problem that maybe encountered concerning wastewater pump, machine and electrical matters.

· Participate in the installation of new or proposed additional facilities in wastewater.

· Responsible for the safe keeping and disposal of Hazardous Waste located at the Wastewater Area.

· General management of wastewater and pure water supply system. Initiate cost control plan of wastewater works.

Management

· Responsible to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.

· Ensures that section's reportorial requirements are communicated with the supervisor, accomplished accurately and submitted on time.

· Ensure that all confidential information and documents are strictly maintained.

· Ensure that the quality and environmental policy is faithfully followed and 5S & Safety are strictly practiced.

· Perform other duties as maybe assigned by the superior.

Communication

· Communicate effectively with production, facility maintenance and purchasing section

· Practice and maintain high level of professionalism and business ethics

· Provide necessary information across organization

· Attend section and/or cross-functional meetings and other coordination as may think are necessary

TRAINING REQUIRED

· Wastewater Treatment Operation Training

· Pure Water Treatment Operation Training

· Recycle Water Process Operation Training

· Chemical Handling Awareness

· Clean Water Act Awareness

· Emergency Response and Safety Training

JOB SPECIFICATION

Education and Experience

· Graduate of any Engineering , Technical Course or any related course

· Experienced in wastewater treatment ,operation and management

Competencies and Knowledge

· Knowledge of the day to day operations of wastewater and other related infrastructure

· Analytical and detailed person; can work independently

· Competent in decision-making, self motivated and able to work under pressure

· Good in written and communication skills
