About the role:

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be a vital member of our healthcare team, providing specialized respiratory care to patients with a wide range of cardiopulmonary conditions. You will be responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients' breathing disorders, ensuring optimal respiratory function and contributing to their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

  • Comprehensive Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough respiratory assessments, including patient history, physical examinations, arterial blood gas analysis, pulmonary function testing (if applicable), and interpretation of diagnostic data.
  • Develop and Implement Respiratory Care Plans: Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized respiratory care plans based on patient assessments and medical diagnoses.
  • Administer Respiratory Treatments: Deliver a wide range of respiratory therapies, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, airway clearance techniques, and mechanical ventilation.
  • Manage and Monitor Mechanical Ventilation: Initiate, manage, and monitor patients on various modes of mechanical ventilation, making necessary adjustments based on patient response and established protocols.
  • Perform Airway Management: Assist physicians with intubation and extubation procedures, and manage artificial airways (endotracheal and tracheostomy tubes).
  • Provide Patient and Family Education: Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment plans, proper use of respiratory equipment, and home care management.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in the management of respiratory emergencies, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation and airway management.
  • Document Patient Care: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting assessments, treatments, patient responses, and any changes in the care plan in accordance with hospital policies and local regulations.
  • Operate and Maintain Respiratory Equipment: Ensure the proper functioning, cleaning, and maintenance of all respiratory equipment, troubleshooting any technical issues.
  • Collaborate with the Healthcare Team: Communicate effectively and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to provide holistic and coordinated patient care.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement Initiatives: Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement projects to enhance respiratory care services and patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Licensure: Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) licensed by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) of the Philippines.
  • Location: Willingness to travel to Angeles, Pampanga
  • Open to fresh graduates.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in the operation and maintenance of various respiratory equipment, including ventilators, oxygen delivery systems, and monitoring devices.
  • Clinical Skills: Strong assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in managing patients with respiratory disorders.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Tagalog (or other local dialects as needed) to effectively interact with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
  • Adaptability: Must be adaptable and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required by the demands of patient care.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to Php18,000.00 per month
