Responsibilities:
Tax Advisory & Academy
- Provides clear and comprehensive tax guidelines or advice on tax compliance matters to concerned departments and/or companies within the Enterprise.
- Conducts tax learning sessions, and seminars within Enterprise on the relevant updates in tax laws, rules, or regulations.
Tax Policy Development
- Takes the lead in the preparation, review, finalization and implementation of the tax compliance policies, practices, and documentation across the Enterprise.
- Responsible for implementing tax compliance programs within or across Enterprise.
Special Projects
- Takes the initiative and leads all tax compliance related special projects within the Enterprise (E.g., Updates on computerized accounting system permit, e-receipting and e-invoicing, and electronic statement of account or ESOA).
- Pioneers the study, alignment, and implementation of the required system enhancements to promote compliance with Philippine tax rules and regulations.
Tax Advocacy / Due Diligence
- Provides critical support in the preparation and implementation of approved tax planning initiatives or programs for the Enterprise.
- Provides technical expertise in due diligence review of target companies in case of mergers or acquisitions if any.
Tax Audit Management
- Provides technical expertise and support in terms of documentation and analyses related to BIR or LGU audits or investigations.
- Provides detailed assistance in the preparation and finalization of the Enterprise position papers and/or protest letters.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Must have at least 10 years working experience in tax compliance or advisory
- Skills required: Transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, tax law
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently and with good problem-solving skills.
- Possesses good business acumen and good integrity.
