Overall Purpose of Role

We are looking for a Senior Front-End Engineer specialising in React with 5+ years of professional experience. You will take ownership of designing and delivering scalable, maintainable, and performant front-end applications. Beyond coding, you'll set best practices, mentor junior engineers, and work closely with design, product, and back-end teams to deliver seamless experiences

Skills and Competencies - Must haves
  • Expert in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
  • Deep expertise with React (hooks, context, state management, component architecture, performance optimisation).
  • Experience with frameworks like for SSR/SSG.
  • Strong knowledge of CSS, SCSS, and responsive design principles.
  • Proficient in accessibility (WCAG standards) and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for front-end projects.
  • Strong testing experience: unit (Jest), integration, and end-to-end (Cypress/Playwright).
Optional positives
  • Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with GraphQL and API-driven development.
  • Knowledge of domain-driven design (DDD) and event-driven architectures.
  • Experience with micro-frontends and design systems (Storybook, component libraries).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
  • Contributions to open-source projects or community engagement.

8:30am to 5pm Mon-Fri (GMT).

15 days holiday per year.

You work as a contractor and are responsible for your own tax.

You need a min 20 MB broadband line, and your own PC/Laptop and headset.
