Job Summary:

The Office Engineer serves as a vital link between the site and the procurement team, providing technical support, coordination, and documentation for construction or engineering projects. This role ensures that all engineering and project documentation is accurate, timely, and aligned with project goals. The Office Engineer is responsible for tracking project progress, managing RFIs and submittals, and assisting in scheduling and cost control activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager and field team by providing engineering data, design clarifications, and technical assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records of project correspondence, documentation logs, and meeting minutes.
  • Review design drawings, specifications, and construction documents for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in preparing cost estimates, materials take-offs, bill of quantity, bill of materials and procurement packages.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, issues, and risks to ensure project goals are met.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers for technical compliance and timely submissions.
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in engineering or construction project support.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings and technical specifications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working on infrastructure, commercial, or prefabricated materials.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily office-based with occasional visits to project sites.
  • May require extended hours based on project deadlines.
