JR. ACCOUNTANT

JOB SUMMARY:

The Junior Accountant (Accounting Assistant) is responsible for processing various billings and supporting day-to-day accounting functions. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate financial records and the timely flow of transactions that support overall business operations.

• Verify fuel consumption of trucks and company vehicles, as well as water, electricity, and association dues
• Prepare Debit and Credit Memos
• Prepare check requests
• Ensure that billings from suppliers and service providers are accurate, properly verified, and processed on time

Daily

• Review and check truckers' and shippers' billings
• Prepare transmittal slips for documents to be sent to the Makati office
• File and organize accounting documents

Weekly

• Prepare backload reports
• Prepare Debit Memos for trucking charges billed to Joint Ventures and Steelframe Phils. Inc.

Monthly

• Prepare Debit and Credit Memo registers
• Prepare Journal Vouchers based on Debit and Credit Memo registers
• Assist in conducting cycle counts of Raw Materials Inventory
• Assist in verifying delivery receipt register data against supporting documents
• Process payments for electricity bills (Meralco), locator's dues (PTC), and water bills

Annually

• Print finished goods count sheets, raw materials, hardware, and general supplies tag sheets
• Assist in year-end inventory counts of Finished Goods and Raw Materials
• Assist in verifying finished goods count sheets

QUALIFICATION

• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheet and proprietary software
• Proficient in MS Office
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Graduate of BS in Accounting or any other related courses
• With at least 1 year relevant experience is an advantage, but fresh graduates are welcome
