Job Description:

Whitecloak is seeking a dynamic and motivated Information Security Intern to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the implementation of security standards, policies, and procedures, contributing to the overall information security posture of our organization. This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of information security, with exposure to information security management and awareness training.

Responsibilities:

  • Standards and Policy Implementation:

Assist in implementing, reviewing, and updating information security standards, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- information security Management:

Support information security initiatives, including vulnerability assessments, risk analysis, and incident response planning.
- Awareness Training:

Help design and deliver information security awareness training programs for employees, promoting a culture of security within the organization.
- Research and Analysis:

Conduct research on emerging information security threats, trends, and best practices to inform policy and training development.
- Administrative Support:

Maintain records related to security activities, track compliance metrics, and assist in scheduling and organizing security-related events.
- Collaboration:

Work closely with the Information Security team and other stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of security measures and awareness programs.
- Special Projects:

Participate in special projects as assigned, such as security audits, phishing simulations, or awareness campaigns.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security/Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with information security principles, practices, and tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or similar tools.
  • A proactive and self-motivated attitude with a strong interest in information security.
