Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Delivery Helper to assist our delivery team in transporting goods to customers efficiently and safely. This role is crucial in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles with packages or goods
  • Navigate delivery routes and help identify potential delivery hazards
  • Deliver items to customer locations, ensuring adherence to schedules and routes
  • Collect signatures or payments when required
  • Review deliveries with customers to ensure accuracy and satisfaction
  • Maintain delivery records and assist with related paperwork
  • Report any delivery issues, customer complaints, or vehicle concerns
  • Perform minor vehicle maintenance tasks if needed
  • Ensure cleanliness and basic upkeep of the delivery vehicle

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in delivery, warehousing, or logistics is a plus
  • Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs / 23 kg) and work in various weather conditions
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Familiarity with GPS and route navigation tools
  • Basic math and record-keeping skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when needed
