Math Lecturer

Job Summary:

• The lecturer is responsible for the correct and proper delivery of the course and/or subject assigned; develop and deliver an innovative & flexible range of learning and teaching materials in relevant subject areas or across modules that provide high quality, accessible learning opportunity in line with college school objectives. Engage in research which informs and inspires research-led curriculum that contributes to the continuing development of subject expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. SHS lecturer teaches students on a specific subject according to their areas of specialization
2. Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to execute guidelines and instruction provided by the school.
   • Creates a curriculum which effectively teaches the students the subject area
   • Prepare a course outline in administering assessment tools and evaluating students' progress regularly.
   • Collaborates with other teachers and administrators in the development, evaluation, and revision of SHS programs
3. Maintains a professional relationship with the students, establishing a culture of respect and authority
4. Maintains a good Parent & Teacher partnership and regularly communicates with them regarding the students' progress.
5. Monitors ongoing professional development
   • Attends professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence
   • Updates license prior to expiration of validity
6. Perform administrative duties such as monitoring student performances, EODs, work plans, report cards (Form 138, Form 137), consultation with students, and other tasks as assigned
7. (For those with advisory class) must regularly update the Learner's Information System (LIS)
