architect (intern)

PURPOSE: The Architect Intern will assist in various stages of architectural design and project development, gaining practical experience and insights into the architectural profession. This position provides an opportunity to learn from experienced professionals while contributing to the success of ongoing projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Design Assistance:
• Support the design team in creating architectural drawings, models, and presentations.
• Documentation Support:
• Aid in the preparation and organization of project documentation, including drawing sets, proposals, and reports.
• Collaboration:
• Work with project managers, engineers, and other team members to help coordinate design and project implementation.
• Project Documentation:
• Prepare and manage accurate documentation, including drawings, proposals, and reports for project stakeholders.

5. Research:

· Research building materials, architectural trends, and design best practices to support ongoing projects.

6. Site Visits:

· Participate in site visits to understand project implementation and gather essential information for design adjustments.

7. Learning and Development:

Engage in training sessions, workshops, and mentorship opportunities to enhance skills in architectural design and project management.

8. Problem-Solving:

· Observe and participate in team discussions regarding design challenges and contribute ideas for solutions.

9. Project Meetings:

· Perform general administrative tasks to support the design team and facilitate project workflow.

10. Administrative Tasks:

· Perform general administrative tasks to support the design team and facilitate project workflow.

11. Additional Tasks:

· Perform any other duties as assigned to support the organizational goals and project needs.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's in Architecture or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field.

SKILLS: Strong interest in architectural design and the built environment.

Proficiency in architectural design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, and D5 Rendering) is required.

Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

SUPERVISION: Standard; attention to detail required.

Job Types: Temporary, OJT (On the job training)

Contract length: 3-5 months
