Captain Waiter/ Waitress

The Captain Waiter is responsible for supervising the dining area, ensuring excellent customer service, and managing the team of waitstaff to provide guests with a memorable dining experience. This role acts as a link between the service team and management, handling guest concerns, assigning tasks, and maintaining smooth restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and welcome guests, escort them to their tables, and ensure they feel comfortable.
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of waiters/waitresses in the dining area.
• Assign tables and sections to the service team and monitor their performance.
• Take food and beverage orders, upsell menu items, and ensure accurate order placement with the kitchen.
• Check the quality, presentation, and timeliness of food and beverages before serving.
• Ensure tables are properly set up with clean linens, cutlery, and glassware.
• Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly.
• Train new waitstaff and support team development.
• Monitor cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards in the dining area.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff and management to ensure smooth service flow.
• Prepare shift reports and communicate operational issues to supervisors/management.
