Junior QS

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably licensed.
• Fresh Graduate or with at least 1 year of valued Quantity Surveying experience.
• Preferably with work experience from a real estate company.
• Knowledgeable in Cost estimation, Quantity Take off, Evaluation and Processing of billing, payables, variation/change orders for vertical (Midrise and High-rise) and Horizontal (Housing and Land development) projects is preferred.
• Proficient in plan evaluation and interpretation

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Will be responsible for managing the overall cost of a construction project (Mechanical, plumbing and fire protection) and ensure that the project is completed within its projected budget.
• Will coordinate with the management and other heads of the department for mutual concern. It also provides accurate and timely information, advices and support to staff. Prepares estimates and quantity take-off on the various stages of the project including but not limited to:

o Schematic Design Estimate

o Design Development Estimate

o For Construction Design Estimate

• Prepares detailed bill of quantities and conducts value engineering.
• Assists in the preparation of bid packages and other bid documents needed in the bidding process.
• Prepares purchase requisition for needed materials for construction
• Cost evaluation and monitoring
