PURPOSE

The Boom Truck Driver is responsible for safely operating a boom truck to load, unload and timely transport materials to and from different sites. This role involves ensuring the safe operation of the boom mechanism, complying with safety standards, and assisting with site logistics as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transport goods/items to their scheduled destinations.
  • Operate boom truck safely and efficiently to lift, move, and position materials and/or equipment.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicle and equipment.
  • Follow all site safety procedures and traffic laws during driving and crane operations. Communicate with dispatchers or supervisors regarding delivery schedules. · Utilizing navigation apps to find the most optimal route.
  • Interacting with employees and clients in professional conduct.
  • Report mechanical issues, delays, or safety concerns to appropriate personnel. Updating weekly mileage records.

QUALIFICATIONS

A. Minimum Education

· At least High School Graduate

B. Minimum Experience/Training

· At least 2 years' work experience as boom truck driver

· Must have valid NC 3 Certificate for Heavy Equipment Operation

· Holds Professional Driver's License (B, B1, B2, C)
