Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, design, and governance of SAP system landscapes (ECC, S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, Solution Manager, SAP BTP)
  • Provide architectural direction for SAP upgrades, migrations (OS/DB, HANA), and cloud transitions
  • Oversee SAP system installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance
  • Manage transport management, change control, and system integrity across landscapes
  • Monitor and optimize system performance, including tuning, EWA, workload analysis, and capacity planning
  • Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and overall system resilience
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex SAP Basis and infrastructure-related issues
  • Act as a technical advisor to project managers, solution architects, and business stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate with SAP, hosting providers, and cloud partners (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Lead and mentor Basis team members, including task delegation and performance feedback
  • Coordinate Basis activities across multiple projects to meet timelines and business objectives
  • Collaborate with functional, development, infrastructure, and cloud teams for integrated delivery
  • Maintain system documentation, standards, and operational procedures
  • Stay current with SAP technologies, best practices, and compliance requirements

Good to have:

  • Experience in SAP user, role, and authorization management, including SoD
  • SAP security role design and support during implementations, upgrades, and migrations
Qualifications and Experience
  • 8+ years of experience as BASIS Consultant
  • Extensive knowledge of SAP architecture, database management (HANA, Oracle, SQL Server), and operating systems (Linux, Windows).
  • Experience with SAP Solution Manager and other monitoring tools like SAP Cloud ALM.
  • Hyperscaler experience (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)
  • SAP RISE or GROW implementation experience
  • Familiar with SSO, Web Dispatcher, Cloud Connector, BTP Account setup, CIS and alike
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • SAP Security experience and SAP Certifications are a plus
