Position Title: Business Development Officer – In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD)
Department: Sales and Marketing / Business Development
- JOB SUMMARY
The Business Development Officer (IVD) is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing business opportunities in the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) market. The role focuses on driving sales growth, expanding market coverage, and fostering strong client relationships with hospitals, laboratories, distributors, and government institutions to achieve company objectives.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities in the IVD market.
Develop and maintain relationships with hospitals, laboratories, distributors, and government institutions.
Conduct market analysis to determine trends, competitor activities, and client demands.
Promote and present IVD products through client calls, product demonstrations, and sales presentations.
Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, technical, logistics, and regulatory) to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
Monitor and respond to bids, tenders, and project requirements on time.
Participate in trade shows, exhibits, and marketing events to strengthen brand presence.
Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and activity updates for management.
Ensure timely and professional after-sales support and client follow-up.
Contribute to developing strategies for pricing, marketing, and business growth.
Supervise and mentor UVD product specialists or account executives as the department expands.
Develop and implement standard sales processes, lead-tracking systems, and CRM reports specific to IVD.
Coordinate with Finance for client credit assessments and payment term negotiations.
Conduct periodic product and sales training to enhance team product knowledge.
Align territory management and coverage planning to maximize market reach.
Support formulation of marketing campaigns, product launch plans, and key account strategies.
OBJECTIVES
Achieve assigned annual and quarterly sales targets for IVD products.
Strengthen the company's market share by increasing client base and sales coverage.
Maintain high client satisfaction and retention levels.
Identify new product opportunities and recommend business strategies.
Support company marketing initiatives and promotional activities.
Develop a 6-12 month IVD business plan including product mapping, pricing, and competitive positioning.
Establish strategic partnerships with local laboratories, diagnostics centers, and government health offices.
Identify and recommend product portfolio expansion based on emerging technologies or clinical needs.
Prepare quarterly performance reviews with data-backed recommendations for management decision-making.

V. QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biology, Chemistry, or any related course.
· At least 2–3 years of experience in sales or business development of IVD or diagnostic products.
· Strong knowledge of laboratory diagnostics and healthcare procurement systems.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
· Willing to travel nationwide for business activities.
