PHL Communications Specialist

Job Description
The Communications Specialist will report to the Ford Communications Manager. He/she will lead the team's advocacy and engagement initiatives with various stakeholders which include the media, dealers, employees, partners, influence leaders, content creators, Ford clubs and owners, and communities to promote positive brand image and reputation and deliver positive earned and social media buzz. He/she will provide support in the development and implementation of communications initiatives that amplify the company's products, after-sales services and experiences. The Communications Specialist will work closely with the Company's communications/PR agencies, event agencies, business partners, Ford teams in various departments, and the global and regional communications teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team's advocacy and brand building initiatives to drive positive brand image and reputation across key stakeholders
• Build and maintain relationships with members of the media, including motoring, lifestyle, business, technology and consumer both print and online.
• Build and maintain relationships with bloggers, key opinion leaders and content creator influencers, and members of Ford Clubs in the Philippines to drive brand affinity, advocacy and engagement
• Develop and execute product launch and sustainment amplification initiatives that drive awareness, consideration, purchase and consumer advocacy
• Manage the company's media and influence fleet program and ensure consistency in earned media coverage and positive social media buzz
• Develop and execute comprehensive after-sales and service communications programs in partnership with the Ford dealer network to enhance positive perception for Ford's aftersales business
• Contribute and support internal and executive communications, development of presentations, press releases, executive speeches, FAQs, media statements, agency briefs and proposal documents, providing both content and material development support as required.
• Forms part of the Crisis Communications team
• Regularly submit analysis of competitor's media actions, launch programs, and new audience trends to help develop more proactive PR approaches.
• Actively contribute to group and team meetings to brainstorm ideas, help research, develop, plan and implement communications programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Public Relations/Communications/Media/Journalism
• Five plus years of PR experience (automotive experience is a plus) with a strong understanding of how media work, including print, broadcast and online.
• Must know how to build and cultivate relationships with media, and pitch stories to a wide variety of media
• Strong skills in content production and execution (press releases, advertorials, scripts, communication briefs, product briefs, speeches, and other communication materials)
