Job Description: Pharmacist (Pharmaceutical Distribution)

Position Summary:

The Pharmacist is responsible for ensuring the safe, legal, and efficient distribution of pharmaceutical products. This role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, maintains the integrity of the supply chain, and safeguards the quality of medicines being distributed. The Pharmacist also provides professional oversight in storage, handling, and documentation of all pharmaceutical items.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance

Ensure full compliance with the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Department of Health (DOH), and other government regulations and guidelines.

Maintain and renew all required licenses, permits, and regulatory documents (License to Operate, FDA registrations, etc.).

Ensure proper implementation of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) and Good Storage Practice (GSP) standards.

Inventory and Quality Assurance

Oversee the proper receipt, storage, handling, and distribution of pharmaceutical products.

Monitor inventory to ensure products are within their shelf life and stored under appropriate conditions.

Conduct regular inspections to prevent the distribution of expired, damaged, or recalled products.

Implement and monitor product recall procedures when necessary.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate and updated records of all pharmaceutical products received and distributed.

Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required by government agencies.

Ensure proper documentation of temperature logs, stock cards, delivery receipts, and certificates of analysis.

Operational Support

Supervise and guide warehouse and distribution personnel on the correct handling of pharmaceutical products.

Verify purchase orders, delivery orders, and product labels for accuracy and compliance.

Coordinate with suppliers and clients regarding product specifications, storage requirements, and other pharmaceutical-related concerns.

Ethical and Professional Standards

Uphold the ethical standards of the pharmacy profession in all transactions and decisions.

Ensure that only authorized and licensed personnel are allowed access to pharmaceutical products.

Provide professional advice to management regarding pharmaceutical matters and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

Licensed Pharmacist (Registered with the PRC).

Knowledgeable in Good Distribution Practice (GDP), Good Storage Practice (GSP), and FDA regulations.

Strong attention to detail, organizational, and documentation skills.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
