This is where you and your skills come in. We're currently looking for: SEO & Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) Writer

We are seeking a strategic and creative SEO & Generative Engine Optimization Writer to help us expand our digital presence across traditional search engines and emerging generative AI platforms (e.g., ChatGPT, Bard, Perplexity). This role requires a deep understanding of search engine optimization (SEO), content strategy, and the evolving field of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). The ideal candidate can craft high-quality, engaging, and discoverable content that ranks on Google and surfaces accurately and prominently in AI-powered generative search experiences.

Job Responsibilities:

• Research, write, and edit content optimized for both traditional SEO and GEO, including blogs, web copy, product pages, FAQs, and thought leadership.
• Partner with agency to optimize SEO and GEO content and hand-off content to web development team.
• Conduct keyword research and AI-query research to identify high-value keyword and prompt opportunities across search and generative engines.
• Develop strategies to increase brand visibility in AI-driven answer engines (e.g., structuring content to be cited by AI).
• Collaborate with agency, product marketing, and subject matter experts to align content with company objectives and to ensure product descriptions are accurate.
• Stay current with emerging trends in search, GEO, AI-powered search assistants, and digital marketing.
• Analyze performance metrics (rankings, traffic, AI citations) and refine content strategies accordingly.
• Ensure all content is on-brand, accurate, and aligned with style and voice guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3–5 years in SEO content writing, content marketing, or digital journalism. Experience with GEO or AI-optimized content strategies is a strong plus.

• Skills:

• Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console).

• Familiarity with generative AI platforms (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Perplexity, etc.).
• Familiarity with "cannibalization" and how to resolve internally competing SEO pages.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
• Ability to work with CMS publishing platforms.
• Ability to translate complex information into accessible, engaging content.
• Analytical mindset with experience tracking and reporting content performance.
• Bonus: Background in technical writing, AI, or data-driven marketing.
