Assistant Pharmacist

A. Job Summary

Shares with the responsibility of ensuring the quality of the marketed products and assures consistency and compliance with the requirement standard set by the FDA.

B. Statement of Duties and Responsibilities

1. Prepares documents for FDA submission. These documents include Initial Registration and Renewal, Shelf-life Extension, Amendments, LTO documents for inspection and inclusion, Batch notification and Import Clearance.

2. Inspects returned products (expired and near expiration) on a monthly basis at MDI (Metro Drug Incorporation).

3. Coordinates with the manufacturers concerning GX products. Prepares product complaint report for suppliers and manufacturers.

4. Assists in updating and checking of product monograph for MIMS (Monthly index of Medical Specialties) and pharmaceutical product directory publications.

5. Reviews the packaging materials from initial proofing to LSD.

6. Prepares necessary documents needed and requested by the Marketing department.

7. Records and updates files that deals with Transmittal, Purchase Order, Inter-office memo, and manufacturer letters, communication and GX product updates.

8. Aids in bearing witness to the destruction of expired products.

9. Monitors physical product count at HLI (Hizon Laboratories Inc.) on an annual basis.

10. Submits summary of inspection in MDI (Metro Drug Inc.) to the Accounting Department.

11. Attends technical meetings and other seminars sponsored by Pharma Association and other government Agencies.

C. Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

ü Bachelor Degree in Pharmacy/Pharmacology or the equivalent.

ü Board Passer/ Licensed Pharmacist

ü Strong organizational skills

ü Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

ü Active and registered pharmacist in the state of practice

ü Ability to exercise good judgment

ü Hardworking and good attention to detail

ü Computer proficient
