Welder/Fabricator

Job Summary:

The Welder is responsible for performing welding, cutting, and fabrication work in the assembly, installation, and repair of equipment and components used in Unilox Industrial Corporation's operations. The role ensures all welding activities are carried out in accordance with engineering specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities / Scope of Work:

• Perform welding and fabrication tasks using various processes (MIG, TIG, Stick, Arc, Gas welding, etc.) as required.
• Assemble, repair, and modify metal parts, structures, and equipment for production and project requirements.
• Interpret and follow blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accuracy of work.
• Conduct inspections of welded surfaces and structures to ensure conformance with specifications and quality standards.
• Operate welding machines, grinders, cutters, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain proper care of welding equipment, tools, and materials.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety practices and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support installation and commissioning of equipment as needed.
• Collaborate with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to complete assigned projects on time.
• Document work performed and report any issues, defects, or material shortages to supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Vocational or Technical Certificate in Welding or related field.
• At least 1–2 years of welding experience in an industrial, manufacturing, or construction environment.
• Proficiency in different welding techniques (MIG, TIG, SMAW, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Knowledge of metal properties, layouts, and fabrication methods.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and safety.
• Physically fit and able to work in varying environments (indoor/outdoor, confined spaces if required).
