Role Description

As a Junior Data Developer, you will work closely with our experienced data science and development team to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of data-driven solutions. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and analytical techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets and build innovative data-driven applications.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior data scientists and developers to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions.
  • Assist in the data collection, pre-processing, and analysis process, ensuring data quality and integrity.
  • Develop and implement data models, algorithms, and statistical methods to extract valuable insights and solve business problems.
  • Write efficient, clean, and maintainable code using programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis and data visualization to communicate findings to stakeholders effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts and domain experts, to identify and understand data requirements.
  • Support the development and deployment of machine learning models and predictive analytics solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and software development techniques.
  • Assist in the testing, debugging, and optimization of data-driven applications and algorithms. Document code, methodologies, and results to ensure reproducibility and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, R, or Scala.
  • Familiarity with data manipulation, cleaning, and pre-processing techniques.
  • Basic understanding of statistics, machine learning algorithms, and data visualization.
  • Experience with data querying and manipulation using SQL or similar languages.
  • Knowledge of common data science libraries and frameworks, such as NumPy, Pandas, scikitlearn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development environments. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
