Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Senior scientist is responsible for project outlines and oversees conduct of research studies related to pineapple production within the limits of Research and Development operating budget with the objectives of addressing issues related to pineapple growth, yield and fruit quality. Senior scientist prepares research recommendations for Agri-Operations to improve productivity and quality to help deliver goals and objectives of the company. The role also involves mentoring key stakeholders by conducting training sessions that cover both the technical and practical aspects of recommended practices in pineapple production.

Qualifications:

• Doctorate in Agriculture with specialization in Pathology, Entomology, Physiology, Soils and Plant Nutrition, Plant Breeding, Horticulture, Botany and related fields
• Three (3) years' experience in area of specialization.
• Five (5) years' experience in agriculture research
• Accreditation of field of specialization with FPA or related agencies.
• Knowledgeable in statistical analysis; strong logical and mathematical skills
• Demonstrated excellent technical and scientific writing skills

• With strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Driving skills with driver's license.
