Job Responsibilities:

To inspect, clean, maintain, and repair all commercial kitchen equipment, including refrigeration units, ovens, stoves, and dishwashers.
To diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in kitchen appliances and machinery.
To ensure proper functioning of ventilation and exhaust systems in the kitchen.
To cooperate closely with the kitchen, banquet, and F&B departments to ensure smooth operations during service hours and special events.
To assist in setting up and maintaining kitchen equipment for banquets, functions, and events as required.
To carry out preventive maintenance tasks on all kitchen machinery and appliances.
To replace faulty or worn-out parts such as seals, gaskets, belts, and electrical components as needed.
To maintain records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections of kitchen equipment.
To ensure all work complies with safety and health regulations specific to commercial kitchens.
To maintain cleanliness and orderliness of work areas and equipment after completion of maintenance tasks.
To assist with inventory control and report on spare parts and equipment needs.
To support kitchen staff by promptly responding to equipment issues to minimize downtime.
To perform duties outside the scope of this role in case of emergency or as directed by the Chief Engineer.

Qualifications:

Experience in installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial kitchen equipment.
Knowledge of refrigeration, cooking appliances, and ventilation systems.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in kitchen machinery.
Skilled in using hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Familiarity with safety standards and health regulations in commercial kitchens.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under time constraints.
Relevant technical certification or trade license preferred.
