About the role

We are seeking an experienced Island Baker to join our growing team at Humans Serving Humans' Nutrition' in the beautiful island of El Nido, Palawan. As our Island Baker, you will be responsible for crafting delectable baked goods that delight our customers and showcase the unique flavours of our island paradise. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a close-knit, dynamic team while enjoying the tropical island lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

1. Baking a variety of breads, pastries, cakes and other baked goods using high-quality, fresh ingredients
2. Ensuring consistently high standards of quality, presentation and taste in all baked items
3. Collaborating with the culinary team to develop new and innovative baked products
4. Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient baking station
5. Adhering to all food safety and hygiene regulations
6. Providing excellent customer service and responding to client feedback

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 6 months experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef in a professional kitchen environment
2. Strong knowledge of baking techniques, food safety standards and inventory management
3. Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting
4. Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality baked goods
5. Creativity and a passion for using local, seasonal ingredients
6. Team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
