
Tax Compliance Specialist

Key Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end tax reporting process, including preparation, review, reconciliation, and filing of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, EWT, FWT, ITR, etc.).
Prepare and file all statutory attachments such as SLSLS, SAWT, Alphalist, QAP, and other mandated schedules.
Handle eFPS/eBIRForms filings, payment through portals, and ensure accurate encoding of data in compliance systems.
Monitor and update compliance requirements with BIR, PEZA, BOI, SEC, and LGUs, including permit applications, renewals, and special approvals.
Assist in year-end financial reconciliations to ensure consistency between accounting records and BIR compliance requirements.
Support management in handling BIR audits, LOAs, and assessments, including documentation and reconciliations.
Maintain and organize regulatory and tax records to ensure audit readiness and statutory compliance.
Stay updated on tax regulations, compliance laws, and industry-specific changes, and advise management on their implications.
Coordinate with internal teams, external auditors, and government agencies on compliance-related matters.
Perform other compliance-related duties as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or related courses.
CPA license highly preferred.
Work Experience:
Minimum of 1–2 years experience in tax, audit, or compliance (exposure to oil, energy, or logistics industry is an advantage).
Solid background in Philippine taxation, regulatory compliance, and government reporting.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in eFPS, eBIRForms, RELIEF, and other BIR e-systems.
Strong knowledge of Philippine Tax Code, PEZA and BOI incentives, and SEC compliance requirements.
Advanced skills in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; knowledge in SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
