cardio technician

A cardiac technician performs diagnostic tests and monitors heart and blood vessel conditions using imaging equipment to help physicians diagnose and treat cardiovascular diseases. Their duties can include performing non-invasive procedures like EKGs and stress tests, as well as assisting with more invasive procedures like cardiac catheterization. This role requires a strong understanding of the circulatory system and often involves working closely with nurses, doctors, and surgeons. Responsibilities

• Diagnostic testing: Performing tests such as electrocardiograms (EKGs), stress tests, and Holter monitoring.
• Cardiac sonography: Using ultrasound to evaluate heart function.
• Procedural assistance: Assisting in cardiac catheterization labs and other procedures to help diagnose and treat heart and blood vessel problems.
• Monitoring: Monitoring patient systems to help physicians interpret results.
• Patient care: Working with patients of all ages to conduct tests and provide support during procedures.
