JOB SUMMARY:
The Site RMC Engineer manages the efficient allocation of resources at the housing construction site. This includes overseeing pumpcrete, line pumps, and boom crete deployment, supplier coordination, slump testing, and assessing access roads for mixer trucks. The role also includes tracking POs, creating PRS, managing pumpcrete overtime, preparing daily pouring reports, and projecting RMC requirements.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Resource Management
- Oversee the setup and deployment of concrete placement equipment such as pumpcrete, line pumps, and boom crete.
Ensure proper placement of equipment for optimal efficiency during concrete pours and maintain records of equipment utilization.
Track pumpcrete overtime and manage related reports.
Review of Design and Pouring Methodology
- Collaborate with project engineers and contractors to review the design and determine the appropriate methodology for concrete pouring based on structural needs.
Ensure that the chosen pouring methodology aligns with site conditions, safety regulations, and engineering specifications.
Adjust pouring strategies as needed to accommodate complex structures or site constraints.
Coordination with Project Engineer
- Work with the project engineer to coordinate equipment placement and ensure alignment with project plans.
Ensure that the concrete pouring meets technical requirements provided by the engineering team.
RMC Supplier Sourcing & Coordination
- Source and manage relationships with RMC suppliers, negotiating terms and ensuring timely deliveries.
Assist in supplier ocular visits, guiding them through the site to understand logistics and access points for material deliveries.
Slump Testing and Reporting
- Conduct slump tests for all concrete batches to verify they meet project specifications.
Maintain detailed records of slump test results and communicate any inconsistencies to the supplier and project engineer.
PO Monitoring
- Monitor purchase orders for materials and equipment, ensuring accurate fulfillment and timely deliveries.
Follow up with suppliers to address any delays or discrepancies with POs.
PRS Creation
- Create and manage Project Requisition Slips (PRS) for resources, ensuring proper approval and documentation.
- Pumpcrete Overtime Management
- Track overtime usage of pumpcrete and related equipment, ensuring efficient operation within cost limits.
Document and report overtime to the project manager for approval.
Daily Pouring Report
- Prepare daily reports on the volumes of concrete poured, locations, and any challenges encountered during the day.
Coordinate with site teams to ensure accurate data is collected on concrete usage.
RMC Weekly Projection
- Develop weekly RMC projections based on project schedules and site progress, ensuring sufficient concrete supply.
Coordinate with suppliers to align deliveries with weekly projections.
Assessment of Access Roads
- Assess and evaluate the conditions of access roads to ensure they are suitable for mixer trucks to pass through safely.
Work with the site team to make necessary adjustments or improvements to roadways as needed to facilitate smooth RMC deliveries.
Communicate with suppliers to ensure they are aware of the road conditions and delivery routes.
Site Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate site activities between project management, contractors, and suppliers to ensure the smooth flow of materials and resources.
Lead site meetings to review progress, resource allocation, and upcoming tasks.
Maintain accurate records of site operations, including resource usage, equipment performance, and supplier coordination.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure that all concrete-related operations, including equipment placement and slump testing, adhere to safety standards.
Collaborate with safety officers to mitigate any hazards related to concrete operations or access roads.
Vendor and Contractor Relations
- Work closely with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Manage contractor relationships to ensure proper coordination for equipment usage and deliveries.
Budget Monitoring
- Assist in monitoring and managing project costs related to resource allocation, overtime, and procurement.
- Report any cost discrepancies to the project manager and suggest areas for potential savings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a construction coordination role, ideally in housing projects.
- Strong understanding of concrete placement equipment, slump testing, and supplier coordination.
- Experience in PO monitoring, PRS creation, and budget tracking.
- Knowledge of assessing access roads and ensuring safe transport of materials on-site.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage multiple stakeholders.
- With driver's license and motorcycle is an advantage
- Willing to be assigned in Magalang, Pampanga and/or Sta. Maria, Bulacan
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in RMC supplier sourcing and managing equipment overtime.
- Knowledge in ready mix concrete
- Knowledge of slump testing and preparing related reports.
- Proficiency in assessing access roads for mixer truck passage.
- Familiarity with project management tools and construction safety regulations.
Working Conditions:
- On-site presence required full-time at the housing project.
- May involve extended hours and weekend work to meet project deadlines.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn when necessary.
