Job Summary
The Head Waiter for Catering Service oversees the service team during catering events, ensuring smooth execution of food service operations and an excellent guest experience. This role is responsible for leading waitstaff, coordinating with the kitchen and logistics teams, and ensuring that catering setups, service standards, and customer requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate waitstaff and service crew during catering events.
- Ensure tables, buffet areas, and service stations are properly set up according to event requirements.
- Conduct pre-event briefings to assign roles, discuss menu details, and review service protocols.
- Monitor service flow and ensure food and beverages are served efficiently and courteously.
- Act as the main point of contact between the kitchen team and service staff during events.
- Handle guest requests, special instructions, and address any service-related concerns promptly.
- Inspect catering equipment, utensils, and linens to ensure cleanliness and readiness.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Assist in post-event teardown, inventory, and reporting of consumed or returned items.
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching to service staff to uphold company service standards.
Qualifications
- At least 2–3 years of experience in catering or banquet service; supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of food service protocols, table setting, and banquet flow.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and perform under pressure.
- Physically fit and willing to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- High school graduate or college level in Hospitality Management or related field (preferred).
Job Type: Fixed term
Contract length: 3 months
Pay: Php18, Php20,000.00 per month
