Position Summary
The Commercial Proposalist is responsible for preparing, developing, and organizing professional solar proposals for commercial clients. This includes gathering project data, coordinating with design and engineering teams, performing financial and production analyses, and producing accurate and compelling proposal packages for management review. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of the solar industry and financial modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed commercial solar proposals based on system designs, energy data, and customer requirements.
- Collaborate with sales representatives, designers, and engineers to collect necessary information for proposal creation.
- Develop accurate pricing models, savings analyses, and financial projections for each project.
- Generate proposal documents that include system specifications, layout visuals, financial summaries, and environmental benefits.
- Review utility rate structures and energy consumption data to create accurate cost-benefit analyses.
- Coordinate internal proposal reviews for accuracy, compliance, and profitability prior to submission.
- Update and maintain proposal templates, pricing tools, and documentation libraries.
- Ensure proposals meet company branding, quality, and formatting standards.
- Track all proposals in progress and manage version control.
- Submit finalized proposals for management review and approval before delivery to clients.
- Provide revisions or updates to proposals based on feedback from sales, engineering, or management.
- Assist with RFP (Request for Proposal) responses, including gathering documentation and preparing supporting materials.
- Maintain knowledge of current incentives, tax credits, and financing structures relevant to commercial solar projects.
