Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, implement and monitor infrastructure, mechanisation and biosystems projects such as farm-to-market roads, communal irrigation, small reservoirs, post-harvest facilities, dressing plants, etc. Scribd+1
  • Review and recommend engineering plans, designs and technical specifications for agricultural and fisheries-related infrastructure. Scribd
  • Provide technical assistance to component cities/municipalities or partner organisations in the planning, design, inspection, performance and acceptance testing of agricultural, fisheries and biosystems machineries and equipment. Scribd
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, standards and codes related to agricultural and biosystems engineering practice (e.g., Republic Act No Ag Department Portal+1
  • Supervise, inspect, evaluate or test agricultural/biological equipment and infrastructure, including performance assessment and acceptance testing. Scribd
  • Assist in project cost-estimation, feasibility studies, programming of works, budget preparation, and documentation. Scribd+1
  • Participate in specification writing, monitoring project implementation, ensuring quality control and standard enforcement.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, agronomy/fisheries specialists, LGU units and regulatory agencies.
  • Prepare technical reports, compile data, maintain records of project accomplishments, and present to senior management or public stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural & Biosystems Engineering (or equivalent engineering discipline) – preferably licensed (registered) under PRC. FAOLEX+1
  • Experience in planning/design/implementation of agricultural/fisheries engineering works (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of engineering design, specification writing, cost estimation, feasibility study, inspection/testing
  • Familiarity with applicable laws/regulations for the ABE profession in the Philippines (for example RA 10915)
  • Good communication skills (written and oral), able to prepare reports, liaise with stakeholders
  • Proficient in engineering tools/software (e.g., CAD, MS Office) and field monitoring activities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multi-discipline teams and local government units
