As the Security Officer, you oversee the protection of all our internal data. You analyze our existing processes and develop strategies to comply with data protection laws. You are a liaison with our clients in the US, collaborating with the Services Department to ensure compliance with data protection policies.

Your primary role is to ensure that our organizational data is always secure and our practices adhere to regulations by constantly evaluating potential risks and performing security audits.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and improve processes to minimize risk of data breaches
  • Investigate and document security incidents, implementing corrective measures
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with data protection policies
  • Stay updated on security trends, regulations, and best practices
  • Review and update data privacy policies regularly
  • Develop and deliver HIPAA compliance training programs
  • Promote security awareness across the organization
  • Handle data privacy inquiries and complaints from data subjects
  • Conduct employee training on data handling, confidentiality, and security protocols
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement of privacy practices

Qualifications

  • College degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • Experience in data protection, compliance, audit, or risk management
  • Knowledge of information security management frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
