Cook (Canteen/Cafeteria)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in cooking, food prep, or catering; vending experience is advantageous.
• Minimum 1-2 years of cooking or food preparation experience required.
• Knowledge of food hygiene, safety standards, and customer service.
• Basic math skills for cash handling.
• Trustworthy, reliable, good communicator, and able to work independently.
• Physical ability to stand long hours and handle food preparation tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare and cook food items as per menu and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the cooking and vending area.
• Ensure food safety and sanitation regulations are followed.
• Manage and operate the vending stall or counter efficiently.
• Serve customers promptly and courteously.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records.
• Restock supplies and ingredients as needed.
• Monitor stock levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies.
• Ensure the quality and presentation of food items.
• Follow safety procedures to prevent accidents and contamination.
• Maintain proper documentation of sales and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
