Job Summary:

The Hostess is the first point of contact for guests at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill. This role is responsible for providing a warm and professional welcome, managing reservations and seating arrangements, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate must have strong communication skills, a polished appearance, and a hospitable demeanor to reflect the brand's high standards of service.

Key Responsibilities:

Guest Reception & Seating:

Greet guests warmly upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional first impression.

Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and assisting with seating arrangements.

Manage the waitlist effectively, ensuring guests are informed about expected wait times.

Offer assistance with special seating requests, ensuring guest comfort and satisfaction.

Reservation & Table Management:

Handle phone, online, and walk-in reservations efficiently using the restaurant's booking system.

Organize table assignments based on guest reservations, VIP status, and special requests.

Communicate seating updates with servers and management to ensure smooth service flow.

Guest Relations & Customer Service:

Engage with guests courteously, answering inquiries about the menu, restaurant policies, and special promotions.

Address guest concerns or complaints professionally, escalating to management when necessary.

Recognize returning guests and VIPs, ensuring a personalized experience.

Operational & Administrative Tasks:

Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the host stand and entrance area.

Monitor dining room flow and collaborate with the service team to optimize table turnover.

Assist in daily opening and closing procedures, including setting up reservations and guest logs.

Ensure adherence to restaurant dress code and customer service standards.

Team Collaboration:

Work closely with servers, bartenders, and managers to enhance the overall dining experience.

Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff about large parties or special requests.

Participate in team meetings and training sessions to uphold the brand's service excellence.


Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a hostess or front-of-house staff in a fine-dining or upscale restaurant.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or customer service training is a plus.

Skills:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in using reservation systems (e.g., OpenTable, SevenRooms).

Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.

Appearance & Professionalism:

Well-groomed with a professional and approachable demeanor.

Polished and confident presence that aligns with the brand's luxury dining experience.

Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Filipino is an advantage.


Work Schedule & Compensation:

Shifts: Rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, based on business needs.

Compensation: Competitive salary with service charge and tips.
