Reporting to the Equipment Superintendent/(PMS) Supervisor. The Serviceman is responsible for performing routine maintenance and basic servicing tasks on various types of heavy equipment (excavators, bulldozers, loaders, etc.). This includes lubrication, fluid changes, minor repairs, and inspections to ensure proper equipment functionality and safety.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Wear complete PPE and follow safety protocols at all times
Comply with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and hazard identification.
Participate in toolbox meetings and training sessions
Perform regular preventive maintenance (PM Level 1 tasks)
Check and refill lubricants, engine oil, hydraulic oil, coolant, and fuel.
Clean air filters and radiators as scheduled.
Replace worn-out filters and basic parts (hoses, belts, bulbs)
Grease moving components following lubrication charts.
Conduct walk around inspections using standard checklist.
Record equipment conditions (fluid leaks, unusual noises, vibrations)
Identify potential issues and report to PM Mechanic or Lead
Assist PM Mechanics during troubleshooting and repairs
Prepare tools, materials, and replacement parts
Clean and organize tools, work areas, and used parts
Accurately fill out daily service reports and checklists
Record parts used and time spent per task
Submit findings and service records to supervisor on time
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
At least high school or vocational graduate(NC I or NC II preferred)
With at least 1 year of experience in equipment maintenance or similar role
Physically fit to handle fieldwork and equipment tasks
Work may be site-based or in workshop
Exposure to weather, grease, oil, and noise.
Extended hours or shifting schedules may be required
