Junior Portfolio Manager

Work Location: San Antonio, Makati City

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 12NN to 9PM

Work Setup: Hybrid (2x WFH, 3x Onsite)

Role Outline:

The Junior Portfolio Manager will provide crucial support to the senior portfolio management team, assisting with the research, analysis, and management of investment portfolios. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with a strong foundation in finance and a keen interest in global financial markets. You will contribute to our mission of delivering superior financial services and investment strategies for our clients.

Key Area of Responsibilities:

• Assist in the daily monitoring and management of investment portfolios. You'll help prepare performance reports, conduct research on financial products, and perform quantitative analysis to identify market trends and opportunities.
• Serve as a portfolio partner for existing and new product owners. You'll analyze each product's role and impact within the portfolio, conduct periodic pricing reviews of market-positioned products, and assess existing pricing strategies to optimize opportunities across products, segments, and channels.
• Conduct in-depth research and due diligence on various financial instruments, including equities, bonds, and other derivatives. You will also perform competitor analyses related to pricing and emerging product features.
• Provide support for key administrative and operational activities, including preparing management presentations to support strategic alignment and decision-making. You will also lead key developmental or financial product projects with minimal supervision and serve as a thought partner to senior leadership, actively contributing to strategic discussions.
• Work closely with senior portfolio managers, investment analysts, and other teams (such as risk and legal) to ensure seamless communication and the smooth execution of investment and product-related decisions.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience in a finance-related role, such as an Investment Analyst, Financial Analyst, or a similar position, with a focus on the real estate industry.
• Strong proficiency in financial software and tools, particularly Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets for data analysis and financial modeling. Experience with portfolio management systems is a plus.
• A strong analytical and data-driven mindset, coupled with strategic thinking and financial analysis capabilities.
• Must have excellent business acumen, an understanding of commercial models, and effective stakeholder management skills. You should also have a proactive approach, solving problems before they arise, and adeptly managing expectations.
• Must be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. Given the nature of remote work, you must be a self-starter and highly organized.
• A solid understanding of global financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management principles. Experience with specific asset classes, such as private equity, venture capital, or fixed-income markets, is a plus.
• Keen interest in working in an AI and technology landscape and using these resources in field of legal and compliance
• Experience in lending and offshore structures, exposure in the international financial world.
