Job Summary:

The Accounting Supervisor oversees the day-to-day accounting operations of UBIX Colleges, Inc., ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, proper internal control, and compliance with accounting standards and school policies. The position supervises accounting staff and assists management in preparing financial reports, budgets, and audits to support sound financial decision-making for the institution.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review general ledger, payables, receivables, payroll, and student accounts.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Monitor account balances, financial transactions, and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
  • Oversee accounts payable and receivable operations, ensuring proper documentation and timely payments or collections.
  • Monitor student accounts, tuition receivables, and installment payments in coordination with the Registrar and Cashier's Office.
  • Ensure adherence to internal control policies and accounting procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reports, and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and government reporting requirements.
  • Assist management in budget planning and expense monitoring.
  • Analyze financial data to identify cost-saving measures and efficient resource utilization.
  • Coordinate with other departments regarding financial matters, billing, and budget utilization.
  • Recommend improvements to accounting systems and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Finance Manager or School Administrator.

Qualifications, Skills & Competency:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Accountancy, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in an educational institution; 1–2 years supervisory experience is an advantage.
  • Licensure: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Leadership and supervisory abilities
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and commitment to institutional goals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php25, Php32,000.00 per month
