We are seeking a highly motivated Full-Stack Software Developer to join our team and support the retail solutions portfolio for TGCS.

Core Responsibilities:
  1. Server-Side Development:

    ● Design and develop backend logic, RESTful APIs, or GraphQL endpoints.

    ● Implement business logic, data processing, and security mechanisms.

    ● Handle authentication, authorization, and access control.

2. Database Design and Management:

● Design and optimize relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Redis) databases.

● Write efficient queries, stored procedures, and ORM integrations.

● Ensure data consistency, integrity, and performance tuning.

3. API Development and Integration:

● Create scalable APIs to serve data to frontend clients or other services.

● Integrate with third-party APIs, microservices, or external systems.

● Maintain versioning and proper documentation of APIs (e.g., Swagger, Postman).

4. Server & Application Architecture:

● Design scalable backend architectures (e.g., microservices, monoliths, event-driven).

● Implement caching, load balancing, and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).

● Ensure code follows SOLID principles and best design patterns.

5. Performance Optimization:

● Monitor and improve server performance and application responsiveness.

● Use profiling tools and implement asynchronous programming where needed.

6. Security Implementation (Preferable):

● Apply best practices for data protection, encryption, and secure authentication (JWT, OAuth2).

● Prevent vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection).

Cross-Functional Responsibilities:
  1. Frontend Collaboration:

    ● Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless integration.

    ● Understand client-side frameworks (React, Angular, Vue) for API compatibility.

    ● Occasionally make UI adjustments or develop small features on the frontend.

2. Deployment:

● Manage CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).

● Deploy applications on cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP, DigitalOcean).

● Handle containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless setups if required.

3. Version Control & Collaboration:

● Use Git for version control (branching, merging, pull requests).

● Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.

4. Testing and Quality Assurance:

● Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests (e.g., Jest, Mocha, PyTest).

● Ensure code quality, maintainability, and reliability.

5. Monitoring & Maintenance:

● Implement logging and monitoring tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus, Grafana).

● Identify and fix production bugs, ensure uptime and reliability.

Requirements and Experience:
  • Education:

    ○ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Programming or equivalent practical experience.

○ Front-end: React, VueJS, Vuex, HTML5, CSS, es6+

○ Back-end: Laravel, Symfony, NodeJS, ExpressJS

○ Testing: PHPUnit, JestJS, Cypress, Mocha, Chai

○ Others: AWS, Digital Ocean, Azure, Docker, Gitlab CI, MySQL, MSSQL, PostgreSQL

Work Arrangement:

Under normal circumstances, you will be expected to work either at our office or on a customer site 3 times a week, with the flexibility to work from home twice a week.

However, depending on the project phase, you may be required to:

  • Work on-site at the customer's project location for the entire week.
  • Work outside of standard office hours based on project needs.
