The Cashier is responsible for providing friendly and efficient customer service while accurately processing all transactions. This role plays a vital part in ensuring a positive and seamless experience for all guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
  • Greet and welcome customers warmly and professionally.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, prices, and promotions.
  • Provide accurate product information and make recommendations.
  • Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
  • Maintain a friendly and positive demeanor at all times.
  • Cash Handling:
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and other forms of payment.
  • Issue receipts and provide change to customers.
  • Balance cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Adhere to all cash handling procedures and security protocols.
  • Order Taking:
  • Accurately enter customer orders into the point-of-sale (POS) system.
  • Communicate order details clearly to kitchen staff.
  • Ensure order accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels of supplies and consumables.
  • Report any discrepancies or shortages to the supervisor.
  • Maintaining a Clean and Organized Workspace:
  • Keep the cashier station clean, organized, and well-stocked.
  • Assist in maintaining the overall cleanliness of the cafe.
  • Other Duties:
  • Assist with other tasks as assigned by the supervisor, such as light cleaning, restocking shelves, and assisting other team members.
