Duties and Responsibilities
Trading & Execution:
- Execute trades in various energy markets, including spot, forward, and derivatives.
- Utilize trading platforms and tools to monitor market conditions and execute transactions.
- Manage and optimize the company's energy portfolio based on market analysis and trading strategies.
- Ensure trades are executed in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Market Analysis & Research:
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis of energy market fundamentals, including supply/demand drivers, price trends, and regulatory changes.
- Develop and maintain market models and forecasts to support trading decisions.
- Monitor and interpret market news, weather patterns, and geopolitical events that may impact energy prices.
Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with energy trading activities, including price volatility, counterparty risk, and market liquidity.
- Implement and adhere to the company's risk management framework and trading limits.
- Develop and execute hedging strategies to mitigate price exposure.
Portfolio Optimization:
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the energy portfolio to enhance profitability and manage risk.
- Identify and capitalize on arbitrage opportunities and market inefficiencies.
- Develop and implement strategies for asset optimization, including storage and transportation.
Compliance & Reporting:
- Ensure all trading activities comply with relevant regulations, exchange rules, and internal policies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate trading records and reports.
- Stay informed about changes in regulatory standards and reporting requirements.
Collaboration & Communication:
- Collaborate effectively with other teams, including operations, scheduling, and risk management.
- Communicate market insights and trading strategies to relevant stakeholders.
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and brokers.
Qualifications
- Obtains a Bachelor's Degree in
Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields. - At least 6months to two year of experience in energy trading, market operations, or trading analytics.
- Willing to work on a
shifting schedule. - Willing to work in
Makati City. - Can start
ASAP.
