Prototype Maker/Carpenter

Job Summary:

Ensure the use of his/her carpentry skills and craftsmanship to construct and install furniture that will help guide production to manufacture a new item/piece

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and understand blueprints, sketches and cutting lists to determine furniture requirements
  • Knowledge of wooden furniture manufacturing and woodworking machines
  • Measure, cut, and shape wood according to specifications
  • Assemble and fasten materials using nails, screws, staples, adhesives, etc, while ensuring structural integrity
  • Able to produce jigs and patterns to help aid manufacturing in production
  • Construct, install and repair items and fixtures such as cabinets, dining chairs, tables, etc
  • Problem Solver, can easily spot problems and propose sound solutions
  • To be able to multitask between different projects
  • Collaborate with team members and personnel from different departments
  • Familiar with different materials, tools and equipment required for furniture production
  • Inspect and assess the quality of finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and standards
  • Repair or replace as per revisions made for prototype items
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations
  • Follow established procedures and protocols for accurate measurement, cutting and fabrication
  • Is able to endorse the prototype items to production members
  • Needs to be a team player
  • Is able to go to job sites for installations
  • Communication between R&D drafts person and R&D management to ensure changes of construction are changed on shop drawings

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years in Furnitue Manufacturing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php Php1,000.00 per day
