Summary and Purpose:
The Biomedical Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing all dialysis machines, water treatment equipment and reuse equipment at a facility. The Biomedical Technician ensures these systems are running properly and the equipment is working according to strict specifications.
Reporting to: Chief Biomedical Technician
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee, maintain and repair the following equipment at a facility: dialysis machines, reuse equipment and water treatment equipment, floor scales, infusion pumps and centrifuges.
Perform preventative maintenance and repair dialysis machines..
Perform maintenance checks on the machines after 1,000 hours of use or every three months. They will repair or replace parts as necessary and make sure the machine is working according to specifications.
Maintain the reuse equipment and machines.
Responsible for the water treatment at the dialysis facility for use in dialysis and helps monitor the entire process, ensuring that the RO water meets strict standards.
Responsible for any necessary repairs or routine maintenance of the water system and, for many facilities, may also perform cleaning and disinfection procedures.
Capabilities and Qualities:
Qualifications:
- Attended Basic Life Support Training for Healthcare Professional Education/Experience: College courses in Bio-Medical Engineering field preferred
- at least 2 years related experience
- highly familiar with dialysis center processes & procedures
Skills needed:
- Amazing ability to read test results and improve products and methodologies
- Remarkable ability to maintain, inspect and repair biomedical equipments
- Deep knowledge of biomedical technology
- Sound knowledge of working and troubleshooting of biomedical equipments
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Microsoft Power Point, Microsoft access)
- Ability to handle multiple tasks
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php25, Php27,500.00 per month
