Position: Chief Mechanic

Job Description:

The Chief Mechanic is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the service bay and ensuring that all repair and maintenance tasks are carried out efficiently, accurately, and safely. This role involves managing the mechanical team, diagnosing complex vehicle issues, ensuring quality control, and coordinating with other departments to deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and lead a team of mechanics and technicians.

Perform complex diagnostics and repairs on vehicles.

Ensure all mechanical work meets safety, quality, and customer satisfaction standards.

Delegate tasks to mechanics and monitor progress and performance.

Provide hands-on support for major repairs and troubleshooting.

Review job cards, service reports, and labor forms for accuracy.

Assist in training and evaluating junior and senior mechanics.

Coordinate with the Service Advisor and Procurement for parts and job scheduling.

Maintain workshop cleanliness, safety, and compliance with regulations.

Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of solid experience in automotive repair and servicing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Graduate of Automotive Technology or a related technical/vocational course.

Must hold a valid NC II or NC III Certificate in Automotive Servicing.

In-depth knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and modern repair techniques.

Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.

Capable of multitasking, prioritizing jobs, and managing staff schedules.

High attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

Willing to be assigned across branches as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php30, Php33,800.00 per month
