CNC milling operator

The CNC Milling operator position must know how to operate a CNC milling machine and possess a professional attitude, be self-motivated, have strong organizational skills and work ethic, verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact well with other team members

Responsibility:

MUST HAVE ADVANCE SKILL OF operating CNC milling machine

• Plans machining by studying work orders and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimension and tolerance.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting process; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and process.
• Analyze design data of part to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates to come up with a CNC program
• Operate two CNC Milling machines
• Determine reference points and direction of machine cutting paths.
• Revise program to eliminate errors and to improve cycle time
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedure and regulations

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least 2 yrs of vocationary course or high school diploma
• Must possess a 2-year vocational certificate in Machining/Manufacturing Technology or equivalent technical qualification
• Must have at least 5 yrs above experience in CNC milling machine
• language(s): English
• Physically fit to work class A
• Proficient in G-code programming and Mastercam or similar CAM software
• Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometres, callipers, gauges)
• Must be willing to work in rotating shifts including nights and weekends as required
