Location: Magic Island Resort – Nueva Valencia, Guimaras
Job Summary:We are looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will prepare and present high-quality meals that delight our guests, maintain excellent kitchen hygiene standards, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with resort recipes and presentation standards.
· Ensure food quality, portion control, and plating meet the resort's expectations.
· Assist in menu planning and suggest new dishes that enhance the resort's dining experience.
· Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, utensils, and equipment.
· Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
· Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering ingredients when necessary.
· Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
· Adapt to special dietary requests and prepare meals for guests with allergies or specific preferences.
· Work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; formal culinary training or certification is an advantage.
· Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in a cook or similar role, preferably in a resort, hotel, or restaurant setting.
· Proficient in various cooking techniques, food preparation methods, and kitchen equipment.
· Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.
· Strong organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays.
· Physical stamina to stand for long periods and handle kitchen tasks.
