Overview

We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pizzaiolo to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate has a deep appreciation for authentic pizza-making, excellent dough-handling skills, and a commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality dishes. You will be responsible for preparing, baking, and presenting pizzas that meet our restaurant's standards of taste, texture, and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage pizza doughs according to traditional and house recipes (mixing, proofing, stretching, and shaping).
  • Operate wood-fired, gas, or electric pizza ovens safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare sauces, toppings, and other ingredients ensuring freshness and proper storage.
  • Maintain consistency in taste, appearance, and portion sizes of all pizzas served.
  • Manage oven temperature, cooking times, and rotation of pizzas to ensure ideal baking results.
  • Ensure a clean and organized workstation at all times, adhering to hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels and inform kitchen management of any shortages or needs.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new pizza varieties or seasonal specials.
  • Uphold company standards for quality, speed, and presentation during peak service hours.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pizzaiolo, Pizza Chef, or Cook specializing in pizza-making.
  • Strong understanding of dough fermentation, stretching techniques, and baking principles.
  • Experience with traditional Italian pizza styles (Neapolitan, Roman, etc.) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of kitchen safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
