Position Summary:
The IT Staff provides critical technical support, manages databases and security protocols, and conducts maintenance on systems and hardware to ensure reliable IT operations. This position serves as a primary resource for user support, manages IT infrastructure, and upholds system security standards to support organizational objectives.
Scope and Responsibilities:
Employee IT Services and Support
• Act as the main point of contact for all IT-related inquiries and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution of technical problems for employees and other users.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot PC errors, software issues, and provide ongoing technical assistance to users. Conduct regular maintenance to prevent recurring issues and ensure software applications operate smoothly.
• Manage the setup of user accounts, including email accounts and access credentials, and maintain user access security by enforcing permissions and security protocols.
Database and Security Management
• Oversee database operations, including creating, updating, backing up, and deleting data, while ensuring data integrity and adherence to security standards.
• Monitor and manage CCTV systems to ensure continuous security surveillance and functionality. Troubleshoot and address any issues related to surveillance equipment.
• Regularly monitor IT systems, networks, and security protocols to detect potential vulnerabilities or issues. Perform routine checks to maintain optimal system performance and compliance with security requirements.
System, Hardware, and Preventive Maintenance
• Monitor production systems to maintain consistent performance and minimize downtime. Address any system disruptions swiftly to support continuous operations.
• Conduct routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting of printers and other hardware to ensure all equipment is functional and meets operational needs. Replace or repair components as necessary.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on IT hardware, including PCs and peripherals, ensuring all devices are updated and securely functioning for daily use.
• Carry out regular system and hardware maintenance, including software updates, virus protection, and system optimization, to ensure all IT resources remain efficient and secure.
Other Related Tasks
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the HRGA team and ensure efficient operations.
• Assist with special projects or initiatives related to human resources and general affairs as needed.
Skills
Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues across various operating systems.
Skilled in SQL for database operations, data security, and backup/recovery processes.
Basic cybersecurity knowledge, including account access control, firewall configuration, and CCTV management.
Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance for PCs, printers, and IT peripherals.
Strong skills to explain technical information to users, document solutions, and provide excellent customer service.
Ability to address issues proactively, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to new technologies and system requirements.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues, including PCs, printers, and network devices.
• Proven experience in providing technical support and managing helpdesk requests.
• Familiarity with database management, including SQL operations for data creation, updating, and deletion.
• Experience in user account management, including setup, permissions, and troubleshooting login issues.
• Basic experience with CCTV monitoring systems and performing routine hardware maintenance.
